Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
I am Jennifer Plenty, a board certified Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I began my career in 2012 working in a 400+ bed trauma center in the Phoenix area. I floated between multiple departments including medical-surgical, telemetry, oncology, orthopedics, step-down intensive care, emergency, and behavioral health. After several years at the hospital, I became dedicated to the behavioral health population full-time, working in out-patient, in-patient, and crisis settings for ages seven through geriatric. Working in multiple settings and experiencing a family member struggle firsthand with the behavioral health system, I realized that my patients needed stronger advocacy. This is when I decided to return to school and become a Nurse Practitioner.
My patient care mission is to meet people where they are and provide the most holistic treatment possible, encompassing the mind, body, and spirit. Care that projects quality and safety are extremely important to me while also empowering the patient’s autonomy. I believe in diversity, social justice, dignity, and hope and will always strive to integrate a patient’s culture into their care plan. I will remain humble and maintain a stance that providing care for another human being is sacred and being a Nurse Practitioner is both a calling and honor.
