
Carissa R. Martinez, M.A., is a Forensic Restoration Specialist at Levitan & Associates Psychological Services (LAPS), where she is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals and families throughout the Phoenix community. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in School and Health Service Psychology at Stephen F. Austin State University, with anticipated graduation in May 2025.
Originally from Texas, Carissa brings specialized training in neurofeedback, eye-tracking software, and quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG), as well as extensive experience conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. Her clinical work has included assessment services across school, clinic, and neurobehavioral settings.
At LAPS, Carissa provides comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults, with particular expertise in assessing attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, learning differences, and intellectual disabilities. She values a collaborative approach to assessment — focusing not only on accurate diagnosis but also on developing practical, individualized recommendations that empower clients and support their growth.
Carissa’s work is guided by LAPS’ core values of clarity, compassion, and collaboration. She strives to create a supportive assessment experience where clients feel heard, understood, and equipped with meaningful next steps.
Outside of her professional role, Carissa enjoys exploring Arizona’s hiking trails, spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling. A dream destination on her travel list is Switzerland, where she hopes to one day enjoy the country’s natural beauty and outdoor adventures.
